Nancy Roseman Named President of Dickinson

To the Williams Community,

I write with the wonderful news that Nancy Roseman, professor of biology, has been named the 28th president of Dickinson College.

The announcement can be seen here.

Nancy is certainly well prepared for this position, with her great experience in teaching, research, and administration, including as dean of the college and director of the Williams-Exeter Programme at Oxford. She is also steeped in faculty governance, having served on a variety of committees, including the Faculty Steering Committee, and Committee on Educational Policy.

As much as we’ll miss her here at Williams, I’m absolutely delighted for Nancy and for Dickinson.

Having attended this weekend at Bates the presidential inauguration of Clayton Spencer ’77, a member of our board of trustees at the time of her appointment, and recalling the recent selection of then-provost Cappy Hill ’76 as president of Vassar, I’m also pleased that Williams is able to prepare leaders in the liberal arts such as these.

Regards,
Adam Falk
President
