The Passing of Patricia Mancuso

To the Williams community,

I write to share the sad news that retired staff member Patricia Mancuso passed away on Monday, July 12, at her home in North Adams. She was 80.

Pat, as she was known to many in the Williams community, was a user services specialist in Mears House from 1982 until her retirement in 2007. Her family shared an obituary that is available online, and which includes many details about her life as well as information about an upcoming memorial service.

As someone who worked with her for years, Kim Brown, manager of Mail & Print Services, shared, “We used to try to hike Pine Cobble Mountain together on our lunch, up and back, but never quite made it, laughing the entire way. Patty took that approach to everything she did in her life.”

Our deepest condolences go out to Pat’s colleagues, friends and family, especially her son, Curtis Cowell, who works at the college in Facilities.

Sincerely,
