The Passing of Jeanne Quinn

To the Williams community,

I write to share the sad news that retired staff member Jeanne Quinn passed away shortly after midnight on Monday, June 21. She was 91.

Born in North Adams, she attended local schools and was an executive secretary for most of her life. At Williams, she held that position at Sears House, where she worked from 1977 to 1999. She also worked in offices for doctors, lawyers and others in the area.

An active member of Pownal United Methodist Church, she assisted with many church suppers over her lifetime and took great pleasure from being among friends and meeting new people there. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her three grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister Phylis; two sons, Brian and James; her grandchildren, Troy, Katie and Jesse; and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will hold a celebration of life ceremony at Pownal United Methodist Church at a future date.

Our deepest condolences go out to Jeanne’s family, colleagues and friends.

Sincerely,
