Arun was raised in a small town outside of Ft. Worth, Texas and attended a tiny all-boys prep school nearby. Needless to say, he had never encountered the diversity of people, thought and weather as he did at Williams. He greatly enjoyed four years building relationships with friends, learning in the classroom, and eating at the two restaurants on Spring Street. He majored in Economics and Psychology.
After graduation he moved to New York, an equally eye-opening experience, and started his career in consulting. He earned his MBA at New York University’s Stern School of Business part-time in an executive MBA program and was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of New York. He had been with Egon Zehnder, the global talent development and executive search firm, since 2007 and currently leads the Global CFO & Audit Chair practice. He helps large public and private companies on matters related to board and executive succession, recruitment, and talent assessment and development. Arun is also a certified executive coach from Georgetown University.
Arun has enjoyed staying connected to Williams through his years as an Alumni Fund Vice Chairman, a Leadership Giving class agent, a host of summer send-off parties for incoming first year students, and through other alumni events. He believes he’s become friends with more Williams students after graduation than during his time at the College. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2025.
Arun and his wife Dr. Koshi Dhingra (Ed.D Columbia University) reside in Dallas, TX and keep a second home in Egremont, MA – one hour south of Williamstown. They have three children: Ronak ’25, Sonia ’26 and Tej (Bowdoin ’25). Their favorite child is their fourth child Pi, their Cavalier King-Charles Spaniel born on Pi Day (3/14/15).
