Wendy Raymond Appointed to Senior Position at Davidson

To the Williams Community,

Congratulations are due Wendy Raymond, professor of biology, who’s been named vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty at Davidson College. She begins this summer.

For more details, you can read the full announcement and press release on Davidson’s website.

Wendy will bring to these exciting new responsibilities her experience not only as an accomplished teacher and researcher, but also as Williams’ associate dean for institutional diversity. It was natural that she be the first person to hold that position given her long dedication to seeing that Williams be a place where all students, faculty, and staff–whatever their background–can live, learn, and thrive.

Among her many contributions to the college has been her work toward the creation and development of Claiming Williams. Her involvement nationally on issues of diversity and inclusion lead naturally to this new position of leadership.

She certainly heads to North Carolina with our deep thanks and best wishes.

Regards,
Adam Falk
President
