The Passing of Dorothy "Dot" Gerry

To the Williams Community,

We are saddened to learn of the passing of a retiree. Dorothy “Dot” Gerry of North Adams, who worked as a custodian here from 1971 to 1989, passedaway Wednesday.

While at Williams, she worked alongside her husband, Cyril “Chappy” Gerry, who survives her. For a time, she worked in Bronfman, and is remembered as someone who worked hard and paid attention to the details.

Dot also leaves daughters Beverly Henderson of California, Nancy Rumbolt-Trzcinski of North Adams, Darlene Masse of Adams; a stepson, Robert Rumbolt of North Adams; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Patterson of North Adams.

Funeral services for Dot were held today at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Funeral Home Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. in North Adams. Burial was in Southview Cemetery in North Adams. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Seeing Eye, P.O. Box 375, Morristown, N.J. 07963-0375 or at www.theseeingeye.org.

Our thoughts are with Chappy and all of Dot’s family.

Regards,

Adam Falk
